Once again we are indebted to the Sojourners who for several years have showered us with their time and talents. From January 11-28 a group of about 48 folks from all over the country labored here completing a variety of projects and making CFBC a better place. Under the able leadership of Jim Pratt and Ray Vines, these servant-hearted people trimmed, cut, raked, painted, washed, cleaned, cut, swept, built, installed, organized, repaired, etc., etc., etc. You name it, they probably did it.
To no one's surprise, they got an awful lot done. This year's big projects is long: painting the floor and walls in Barton Chapel; setting poles for a low-ropes challenge course; partial cleanout of the maintenance barn; and several construction jobs including our small zip line, a landing ramp and platform for the big zip line, a storage shed for the paintball gear, and a pole barn that now houses our large maintenance equipment. We certainly kept them busy, and, as usual, they were up to the task.
A week after the conclusion of the work Sojourn, even more Sojourners arrived (February 8-18) for one of five National Workshops that are conducted throughout the country. From all accounts the time they spent together singing, praying, worshipping and learning was a great time of renewal for the more than 90 Sojourners who attended. We are really thankful for the opportunity CFBC has each year to serve as host for this event.
It is a real blessing for us to be associated with these fine Christian people. They are great examples of the kind of servants we should all be in God's Kingdom. Please keep them in your prayers. We look forward to seeing them again next year.
